Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Finance Trainings in Nigeria

As part of the USAID-funded Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program in Nigeria (REEP), Crimson designed and delivered training programs in Abuja, Calabar and Lagos on Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) finance for loan officers from nine financial institutions. The trainings provided an overview of the EE/RE sector opportunities in Nigeria; an introduction to Energy Efficiency finance and equipment; and an introduction to Renewable Energy finance and equipment. Case study examples on small scale RE and EE applications were also provided, including use of energy calculators, credit and risk analysis.

Funded by the US Agency for International Development, REEP is a four-year activity designed to support the development and financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and to strengthen the enabling environment for public and private sector investment in RE and EE. Crimson contributes to REEP under a subcontract to Winrock International.
