In January 2015, Crimson joined the Financial Markets International (FMI) led USAID EMPOWER Credit Support Project in Kosovo. The EMPOWER Credit Support Project is designed to increase access to finance for underserved SMEs by establishing a guarantee facility, the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF). KCGF will be a local, permanent, revolving and financially sustainable credit guarantee fund, licensed and supervised by the Central Bank of Kosovo that will issue loan guarantees to commercial banks to reduce risk in SME lending.
Crimson is supporting the EMPOWER Credit Support Project through the provision of business, financial, credit, risk, and legal and regulatory advisory services and by consensus building among key government, donor and financial institution stakeholders.
